Fried Pickles, in response to Aunt Laine's question
Fried pickles are just what they sound like. I suppose there are probably several ways to do them, but the ones we had were kosher dill spears, battered and fried. Sort of like a mozzerella cheese stick or a fried mushroom, except with a pickle inside. Mmmm.

I had fried pickles in TN a few years ago. They are SO good!
I can't believe that you actually LIKE fried pickles. My first experience with them was on my 21st birthday...maybe it was the mix of the oil soaked pickle and the alcohol that leaves a bad feeling in my stomach...
They are often prepared as individually battered and fried "hamburger" dill chips,
which are even better in my opinion... bite-sized pieces of deep fried goodness!
