We'd like to say thank you to the staff of the Allison Park Post Office, who help my parents with the mail drops. We couldn't do it without you!

Also, get well soon to First Wife, we were so relieved to hear that you are on the mend!

You guys still sound like you're having fun despite the rain. Better rain than snow anyway. Looking forward to having you home soon. Love following the blog. Car Cruise for Jim is this Sat. So finally that will be done. I finish class and head for Williamsburg on Aug. 2nd. By the way Happy Anniversary a little early. Enjoy you last 600 miles, Mom Frey

Foolowing you every step of the way. We don't want to write as I thought you would be using precious time reading my comments.

You two are something else. Can't wait to read the book or see the movie !

Hey guys! I hope the trail is treating you well. There is nothing going on around here, of course, so I hope you can enjoy the splendor of New England...you're almost done!
Take care!

HI, M & K-
I am relaxing in RI at my sister's before I make the long drive back down to Virginia. I feel good-just a little discomfort if I lie the wrong way...Had to offer a comment about your experience in the Berkshires: please don't blame New Englanders for the lack of hospitality. I think most of the tourists in the Berkshires come from NY city-this is just my observation as a New Englander born and bred and after spending a week there myself. We stayed in Springfield, an hour away thanks to the Highlander, but I spent my days hanging in the Berkshires waiting for Beach Bum to finish his hikes. Best wishes as you continue to hike north.

Just thought I would mention Diane Duff, who has handled most of your packages at the post office. Neighbors Tom Jakub and Matt Larkin (Katy, you babysat their kids back in the day)are also checking in as are Lisa and Chris Rulis from St. Mary of the Assumption parish(they are two of the many church folks who follow you and read my stories about you both in our weekly church bulletin). We are all really following you intensely with our thoughts and prayers. You are so close to the end but still have such a rough time ahead. Thanks for calling this morning just to quickly check in; it is also a rainy day in Pittsburgh. I can't imagine hiking in this! Love, as always, Mum
