P-Burg to P-Burgh and back again
By now, lots of you may know that M and I left the trail for the weekend to surprise his little sister for her graduation. We didn't tell a soul we were coming and had great fun surprising people all weekend.
We rented a car in Pearisburg and are headed back there to return the car and get back to the business of hiking. Stay tuned for a spirited descriptiton of the events of this weekend.

When I saw Katy running across the yard, I cried and then laughed when I realized that, Yes, it was Mark and Katy for real and No, they had not lost any limbs to hungry bears or other critters. Only another mother might be able to relate to that spontaneous joy and relief that I felt when I saw them, hugged them, cried and then hugged them some more. It was the most awesome time, just sitting around the table as other family members summoned mysteriously to come the Belski house RIGHT AWAY came in and found our hikers sitting at the table sipping coffee and enjoying the expressions of each newly surprised relative. Even though we will be meeting up again fairly soon in Charlottesville, I will never forget the spontaneity of our beloved AT hikers that brought such a happy family time to all of us. God bless and see ya in a few weeks. Love, Mum
